Etymology[]
The Kukri (or Khukuri) is a Nepalese knife with an inwardly curved edge, similar to a machete, used as both a tool and weapon in Nepal and neighbouring countries. It is a characteristic weapon of the Nepalese Army, Royal Gurkha Rifles and similar Gurkha regiments throughout the world.
A 'fandango' is an Iberian, lively or 'fiery' dance traditionally accompanied by guitars and castanets/clapping. The dance starts slowly but gets faster until 'passionate'. The 'Dance of Death', where a person's legs flail as they die is also named as the 'fandango' after this phenomenon occurring in those being hanged and 'dancing the Hemp Fandango'.
